The Chatham Panthers varsity baseball team is playing in the Hope Rocks Hardball Invitational on May 4 at Cantine Field in Saugerties. It's Chatham vs. Pine Plains at 10AM. Hope Rocks is a grassroots movement to empower, engage, educate, and enlighten communities about mental health and the fight against addiction and suicide.

Enjoy a late morning or early afternoon of painting and goodies when the Class of 2027 hosts a Canvas & Cookies painting event on Saturday, April 13. Two sessions will be hosted to accommodate painters of all age groups (10am families with students k-5, Noon adults & students grade 6 and up). Sessions will be led by retired Chatham art teacher Patrice Tomaso featuring a design for elementary and a sunset scene for adults & students grade 6 and up. Cost is $15 per person, which includes a canvas and various baked goods to choose enjoy. All proceeds will benefit our freshmen class. Nominating petitions for Board of Education candidates can be picked up in the district clerk's office at MED. Petitions are due April 22.

Sometime during the week of April 8, 2024, we will hold a lockdown drill in our High School only. Officers from local law enforcement will assist us. If you have any questions, please contact the High School principal or the superintendent's office.

Chatham CSD is seeking proposals from qualified agencies to administer the District’s Full Day Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program. The District will receive sealed proposals no later than 3:00 p.m. May 1, 2024. More at https://5il.co/2hk84

Please note there has been a slight change to the Tuesday, March 26 Board of Education meeting. The Board will be entering into executive session at the start of the meeting (5:00 p.m.). The regular portion of the meeting will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The CHS robotics team, Artemis (6621), is competing March 22 and 23 in the FIRST Tech Valley Regional at the MVP Arena in Albany. You can watch the competition live at https://www.twitch.tv/firstinspires9 or in person: the event is open to the public with no charge for admission!


Sometime during the week of March 25, 2024, we will practice lockdown drills in all three of our school buildings. Officers from the Chatham Police Department, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police will assist us. As you know, it is important that we periodically practice these drills with as many different variables as possible; our goal is to make sure our students and staff are prepared and safe. Update 3/19: We have found a modified softball coach, thank you! - We are in need of a modified softball coach - the season starts March 25 and we have 11 girls signed up.
