The CHS musical is selling ad space in the program for their production of Little Shop of Horrors. Ad revenue is used to pay for program printing, purchasing of equipment, and general support of students and extracurricular initiatives in the music/theatre department. Sometime during the week of February 12, 2024, CCSD will practice lockdown drills in all three of our school buildings. Officers from the Chatham Police Department, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police will assist us.
The Chatham Panthers play in the Patroon Conference Coaches vs Cancer Weekend this Saturday, February 10 at Columbia-Greene Community College. Our varsity girls basketball team plays Hudson at 11:30am and our boys varsity basketball team plays Rensselaer at 1:00pm. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

The Board of Ed. has scheduled a Special Executive Session for Thursday, February 8, 5:45 p.m. in the superintendent's conference room, MED. The Board anticipates immediately entering Executive Session for the express purpose of interviewing consultants related to the superintendent search and does not anticipate conducting any business or voting on any items when it returns to open session.

Regents exams are delayed until 9 am. Students should report by 9 am if they are scheduled for Geometry or U.S History and Government Regents exams.
The A.P. US History midterm exam has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 24 at 12:30 pm.
The English 10 midterm, the Pre AP English 10 midterm, and the English 10 Concepts midterm have all been rescheduled to Thursday, January 25 at 12:30 pm.

Chatham CSD is examining the sustainability of our football program. Participation numbers have dropped in the last few years. The Board of Education is committed to a process that examines all aspects of the program and what future options are in the best interest of our students and community before any decision is made. As part of this process, the District would like to gauge interest in the program and obtain a projection of participation for the Fall 2024 season at the Modified 9 (grades 7-9) and Varsity (grades 10-12) levels. We are asking any students in grades 6-11 who may be considering playing football for Chatham to complete this brief survey. The survey results will inform the Board’s decision on the direction it will take for the 2024 Fall season.
