Due to the forecast for extreme heat, Chatham Middle School and MED Elementary School will dismiss students early on Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20. CMS will dismiss students at 11:15 a.m. and MED will dismiss students at 11:30 a.m. both days. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
The Chatham High School Regents/final exam schedule will remain as normal and the building has air conditioning. Transportation home at the end of the day will be provided for CHS students who request it. Please call or email the CHS main office anytime, but no later than 11:30 a.m. the day of your request.
A reminder that there is no school on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
The Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting for Monday, June 17, 6:00 p.m. in the superintendent's conference room. This meeting is for the express purpose of awarding the High School Capital Improvement Project Contract Awards. The Board does anticipate entering into executive session for the purpose of matters leading to the appointment of a particular person/s. The Board does not anticipate conducting any other business or voting on any other items at this meeting. There will be no recording or remote video for this meeting.
The MED PTA End of Year Carnival & Picnic is POSTPONED to Tuesday, June 18, from 4-7pm. Get ready for an evening of making memories and enjoying a wide range of

The Panthers are headed to the NYS baseball finals for the third year in a row! Chatham shut out Pulaski 9-0 in the NYSPHSAA Class C semifinal at Binghamton University Friday morning. The Panthers will play Burke Catholic in the championship game at 10 a.m. this Saturday at Mirabito Stadium. The NYSPHSAA Championships will use online ticketing. Ticket prices are $11.50 (inclusive of fees). Children under five are free. Cash sales will not be available at the gate. The winner of that game will advance to the NYS Finals on Saturday, June 8, 10:00 a.m. at Morabito Stadium All NYSPHSAA Championships will use online ticketing. Ticket prices are $11.50 (inclusive of fees). Cash sales will not be available at the gate. Ever wanted to drive that big yellow school bus? The Chatham Central School District’s transportation department is hosting a pair of job fairs Saturday, June 8 and Thursday, June 27 from 8am-12pm at Chatham Middle School, 50 Woodbridge Ave. in Chatham, NY. Chatham is hiring both bus drivers (starting pay $23.36/hour) and bus attendants (starting pay $22.36/hr). No experience necessary, we provide paid training. The job fairs offer on-the-spot interviews and the opportunity to test drive a school bus. Congratulations to the varsity baseball team on their 18-10 victory over Tupper Lake in the regional semi-final yesterday evening. The boys will be playing Section 7 winner Ticonderoga in the Class C regional final on Saturday, June 1, 12:00 pm at Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam. Chatham will be in the 3rd base dugout and will be the home team. The winner moves on to the NYS semi-finals next week in Binghamton.

The Class of 2024 invites you to their Senior Expo & Awards Night, a celebration of their high school careers. Starting at 6:00 p.m. June 5 in the Chatham High School gymnasium, come see our seniors’ displays highlighting their many personal accomplishments made as students here at Chatham CSD. The evening wraps up with our Seniors Awards Ceremony in the CHS auditorium.
The Marching Panthers will be hitting the street to honor our fallen service members this Memorial Day. Look for the CHS marching band in the Ghent parade at 9:00 a.m. and the CHS and CMS marching bands in the Chatham parade at 11:00 a.m.

Our 2024-25 District Wide Safety Plan is available for public review at https://5il.co/2m6ky . The Board of Education has reviewed and updated the plan and has scheduled a Public Hearing on the plan for June 25, 2024 6pm in the CHS library. The Board plans to adopt the updated plan at its July 9th organizational meeting.
2024 Prom Dress Drive: donate your clean, gently worn dresses to the Prom Dress Fund. All donations will be used to provide area students with free dresses for the 2025 prom season. You can drop off dresses between May 22 - June 21 to Chatham High School. *Only dresses that are 5 years or newer will be accepted.

6th Grade Dairy Queen Fundraiser - stop in or drive thru the Ghent Dairy Queen on Thursday, May 2 from 3-7PM for a bite to eat and some delicious ice cream! Part of the proceeds will support our 6th grade end-of-the-year activities.
Chatham CSD's annual public hearing on the proposed school budget will be held May 14 at 6pm in the Chatham High School library. At the hearing, school officials will present details of the 2024-2025 school budget.
