Mrs. Velez's 6th-grade Social Studies class celebrated the Lunar New Year on January 28. Students had the opportunity to create dragon puppets and red envelopes and had the chance to try eating lo mein and dumplings with chopsticks. The students conducted a small parade throughout the 6th-grade hallway to show off their puppets and dragon dance techniques.
