Chatham Middle School students welcomed local Veterans and their family members as honored guests during the school's annual Veterans Day Celebration, held this year on November 8. The event included the Ghent VFW color guard, remarks by students and staff, patriotic musical performances by the school's ensembles, and the presentation of flags from all the branches of the military. This year’s featured Veteran and keynote speaker was Patrick Wemitt, a Chatham graduate who served in the Vietnam War with the United States Marine Corps. The school also hosted a reception for its Veteran guests following the ceremony.
