Phase 1 construction on our capital improvement project began this summer at Chatham High School and is expected to wrap up by late fall. Among the improvements completed or nearing completion are a new roof with additional insulation over the entire building, six refurbished classrooms with new floors, ceilings lighting, and permanent soundproof and fire-rated walls, exterior masonry repairs, exterior insulation and finish systems over the stucco panels, installation of a canopy at the main entrance, and preparatory groundwork for a new emergency generator capable of powering the entire building, which will be installed in Phase 2.
