Mr. Botsford’s language concepts class took a field trip to A. Ooms & Sons Dairy Farm in Valatie on May 21. While at the farm, they learned about the feed cows eat and watched as robotic machines milked the cows. The children were able to hold baby goats and kittens, and even got to climb into a John Deere tractor. Before the class left, the Ooms family gave the children Cabot cheese, which is one of the products their milk goes to make.
