Inspired by a teacher online, MED first grade teacher Tara Van Wie reached out to a family friend (known by many as Aunt Sue) to help her with a big task. First, every student in Mrs. Van Wie and Mrs Winter's class got a hat template in class and were directed to color it in any way they wanted to with no other given information. Aunt Sue worked tirelessly over the past couple of weeks to loom-knit 18 hats, each unique to the student's design! Mrs. Van Wie surprised the students with their hats for Valentine's Day, much to their delight!
