Students in Mrs. Reichardt's 5th grade science classes are investigating the properties of matter this month. Using hand lenses, they have been observing a variety of substances like salt, sugar, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and alum. Students were then able to identify the color, texture, shape, solid or liquid, sound, and smell of each substance.
