From inside a huge inflatable dome, students were transported to outer space when the SkyDome Planetarium came to the CMS gym September 27. All students in grades 6-8 had the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of the Northern Hemisphere projected on the dome’s ceiling. They witnessed the night sky from different global perspectives and learned about the planets in our solar system, the Milky Way galaxy, and the characters from Greek mythology that can be found in the stars. This out-of-this-world opportunity was made possible through a grant from the Chatham Education Foundation of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
