Chatham High School's Artemis Robotics team has been busy this spring! On May 8, the team took their robot to the Kinderhook Elks' Lodge for a demonstration and to accept a donation. Team captain Jane Fischer gave the Elks an overview of how they designed and built the robot and discussed the challenges and successes the team had at this year’s FIRST Robotics competitions. On June 2, the team participated in CMS’ Arbor Day by giving a demonstration for the students and faculty during their picnic lunch. And on June 8, they participated in a STEM activity night held at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School. The STEM night featured all the aspects of the FIRST program, from elementary-level Lego League teams, the middle/high school Tech Challenge teams, and our high school Robotics team. The kids were excited to provide outreach about our robotics program and learn more about the Tech Challenge program.
