Children’s author Stacy McAnulty spent the day at Chatham Middle school on May 5. She held talks for our sixth, seventh and eighth grades where she focused on themes in her books and discussed being an author, what goes into writing her books, and the importance of storytelling. Students could sign up to have lunch with her in the library as well as have her sign their books. McAnulty is the author of 32 books for young readers and was invited to CMS by school librarian Donna Eager. Leading up to her visit, the CMS library had (and still does!) several of her titles available for students to check out.
