PARENT CONFERENCES FOR AIS ELA & MATH
Dear CMS Parents/Guardians,
As conferences approach this week, we would also like to give parents the opportunity to
schedule a conference with our ELA and Math AIS teachers, Patricia Smith and Tracey Fuller.
Please note that conferences on the evening of Thursday, November 18th, are virtual only. On
November 22nd and 23rd, you have the option of in-person or virtual. On these days dismissal
for students is at 11a.m. and conferences start at 12:00 p.m.
If your student receives AIS services this is a great opportunity to meet both teachers and learn
about the interventions your child is receiving and strategies you can do at home to help your
child show growth in either ELA or Math.
Please check your email for links to sign up for AIS ELA conferences and AIS Math conferences.
If you have any issues signing up, please contact our Guidance secretary Emily Qua at 518-392-1560, ext. 2005.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Mike Burns.
CMS Principal

It's that time of year again - when snow, slush and ice can impact the school day. Check out our Protocols for Weather Closings & Delays for a quick overview of how our school responds to inclement winter weather at: https://www.chathamcentralschools.com/page/protocols-for-weather-closings-delays

Chatham Middle School is providing a new afterschool option for students who may need extra help or just a space to complete work as they wait for other after school activities to begin. The CMS STUDY SPACE will run most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:15 p.m. dismissal until 3:20 p.m. Students who take the late bus will leave when the late bus is announced at 2:55 p.m. Students may also leave earlier than 3:20 p. m. to attend other after school events. The CMS Study Space is supervised by a certified teacher. The CMS STUDY SPACE can be used for a number of different reasons: ● It is a space to complete quiet work while waiting for other after school programs to start. ● It is a place to get extra help or get ahead using self-guided programs like IXL or iReady. ● It is a place to get help with homework. Students interested in attending the CMS STUDY SPACE can sign during the school day just like they would sign up for the late bus. If you have any questions about the program, please contact Mr. Stead at 518.392.1560, ext. 2002.

Please help us make Thanksgiving
baskets for Chatham families in need!
CMS will be donating Thanksgiving
baskets this year with all the fixins! To
help, please bring in rolls, potatoes,
sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy,
desserts, canned vegetables, cranberry
sauce, paper plates, napkins. Thank
you to Rock Solid Church for donating
gift cards for families to purchase a
turkey!

Dear CMS Families,
the link was emailed to you to set up your child's conference. If you have any trouble with scheduling the conference, please contact Emily Qua in the guidance office to assist you. Her number is - 518.392.1560, ext. 2005.

Attention winter athletes: Sports physicals will take place November 10 & 17 at CHS and CMS. Physicals will start at approximately 8:30 am in the CHS nurses office, and when finished there will move to the CMS nurses office. Please see your school nurse to sign up for a physical.

In an effort to improve safety and assist emergency services in responding to the correct building, Chatham Central School District has created different 911 addresses for each of our school buildings. Mary E. Dardess Elementary School remains 50 Woodbridge Ave. while Chatham High School is now 54 Woodbridge Ave., Chatham Middle school is 21 Woodbridge Ave., and the Bus Garage is 21 Library Place, all in Chatham.
Please be sure to make note of these addresses. We will also be posting signage with this information in highly visible areas in and around our buildings. These addresses are for 911 purposes only, such as reporting the location of an emergency. Our business (mailing) address remains the same at 50 Woodbridge Ave., Chatham, NY 12037 for all four buildings.
