Woman talking to group of students

Judi Matthews from the Chatham Area Silent Food Pantry visited the sixth grade to share information about hunger and food insecurity in our area. Students learned about the Silent Pantry, the services it provides, and ways people can reach out for help if they need food, hygiene products, clothes, or other essentials. Ms. Matthews is a retired Chatham math teacher who volunteers regularly for the Pantry.

November is Grateful & Thankful Month at CMS. As it does every year, the school will be putting together Thanksgiving baskets (with all the fixin’s) for families in need. CMS students can help stuff the baskets by bringing in snacks, rolls, potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, desserts, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, paper plates, and napkins before November 25.
