The seventh grade experienced a morning of wellness-themed events May 23 as each class rotated through four stations to explore different areas of personal well being. Students made healthy snacks and learned about gut health with food expert Karen Cooper. Mykaela and Alexia Fuller spoke about overcoming stress and health obstacles with art, service dogs, and resiliency. Therapist Eric Krawczyk showed students how to use nature, outside activities, and their senses to balance with screen time and cope with stressors. Tara Eldred from Twin County Recovery Services led a robust discussion about d positive coping strategies and decision making in regard to substance abuse and vaping.
