The Chatham Central School District will host a public information session Monday, January 30, 6:30 p.m. in the Chatham High School library to provide residents with information about the Capital Improvement Project the District is proposing. School officials will provide an overview of the project and its tax impact, followed by a question and answer session and an opportunity for residents to take a brief guided tour of areas in the High School that would benefit from the proposed renovations.
The presentation can also be viewed live at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83976585762. Please note the livestream will provide passive viewing only, viewers will not be able to comment or ask questions.
The District is proposing this project to improve our educational facilities and address issues with our aging infrastructure. Last school year, the District conducted a state-required, district-wide Building Condition Survey that identified several areas that require attention due to their age and condition, or where renovating/updating certain spaces would allow those areas to better meet the needs of students and the larger school community. District residents will decide on the project during a vote scheduled for Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School gym.
