New this year, the Chatham High School faculty are recognizing students for their embodiment of our Capstone Skills. These skills are important for students to not only succeed here in high school, but in their post-high school lives too. Each month, CHS will highlight a different skill and recognize one student per grade level for demonstrating that skill. The faculty will nominate deserving students and then vote for one nominee in each grade level they believe best exemplifies the capstone skill of the month.

The winners for October's skill of Situational Awareness are:

Freshman Frank Davis III for always being on task and helping others around him.

Sophomores Jayden Jones & Landen Frederick for taking immediate and effective action to help a fellow student when they witnessed a cross-country runner get injured.

Junior Ryley Josefsburg for always being polite, professional, engaged, and willing to help a neighbor.

Senior Samantha Hoffman for being very on point, professional and aware of what is going on, and for listening and reacting accordingly.

Our upcoming Capstone Skills for each month are:

November: Organizational Skills
December: Professionalism
January: Problem Solving
February: Communication
March: Research Skills
April: Accountability
May: Confidence
June: Reflection
