The Senior Team organized a mock interview event at Chatham High School to provide our seniors with an authentic job seeking experience. The Team gathered information about the students’ career and future interests and collected a diverse group of community members to pair them with for an interview. To make the experience even more realistic, students wrote a cover letter applying for an internship with the person who they would interview with. Each student interviewed for about 25 minutes and then the entire group of community members sat on a panel to give advice, provide feedback, and answer the students’ questions. Special thanks to the nearly 40 community members who volunteered their time to help make this event a huge success! "I have to say, the experience was wonderful and I greatly appreciated the opportunity to participate," remarked Steven Meehan, Operations Director for the Valatie Rescue Squad, who was one of our interviewers.
