Three varsity teams from Chatham High School qualified as scholar athlete teams for the 2021-22 winter sports season. Our girls basketball, boys basketball, and bowling teams will receive a certificate from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recognizing their scholarly accomplishments. In order to be considered a scholar athlete team, a team must hold a collective grade point average (GPA) of 90 or better among at least 75 percent of the athletes on its roster. In addition, any varsity athlete who holds a GPA of 90 or higher receives a scholar athlete pin from the NYSPHSAA.
Girls varsity basketball - team average 96.67 (8 pins awarded to athletes)
Boys varsity basketball - team average 90.14 (4 pins awarded to athletes)
Bowling - team average 90 (7 pins awarded to athletes)
Including our cheerleading (1) and boys volleyball teams (3), 23 of our athletes earned pins this season! Go Panthers!
