MED Holiday Spirit Week runs December 18-21 with each day having a different dress up theme.
All Chatham CSD schools are on a two-hour delay this morning, Monday, December 11, 2023, due to weather. Parent teacher conferences at MED will take place as scheduled.
The Fine Arts Booster Club meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, December 5, 7:15 p.m. at CHS.

Today we practiced a lockdown drill in all three of our school buildings. We were assisted by officers from local law enforcement. The students and staff handled the drills very well.
As I have stated in the past, it is important that we periodically practice these drills, as we can never let our guard down when it comes to the safety of our children. Schools in New York are required to conduct a minimum of four lockdown drills per year.

Calendar update: the Grade 5 Winter Concert originally scheduled for January 10 has been rescheduled to January 11, 2024.
Our Faculty Basketball Game is Wednesday, November 1 at 6pm, when CHS & CMS faculty take on MED faculty in the CHS gym. Suggested donation is $2 students/$5 adults. Proceeds benefit Chatham's Class of 2025.
The MED PTA hosts its Trunk-or-Treat event Saturday, October 21 from 4-6pm in the MED parking lot. This is a fun, safe event that is always a good time!
MED's Halloween Parade is Tuesday, October 31 at 9:30 a.m. Parents can watch the parade from the bleachers or around the outside of the fence at the track/football field. Parents will not be allowed inside the building after the parade. In the event of inclement weather, we will hold our parade inside the building and will live stream from our gymnasium.
All Chatham Central schools are releasing students 15 minutes early today, October 6, for the annually required drill to practice emergency dismissal procedures.
The Chatham Education Foundation is currently accepting applications from students, teachers, administrators, and community members for initiatives that enhance the educational experience of students in the Chatham Central School District. Applications are due by October 14. Possible projects include, but are not limited to: independent study; new programs; extracurricular activities; individual creative projects in or outside the classroom; visiting speakers; artists-in-residence; professional development for teachers; scientific, athletic, or technical equipment; library resources and class field trips.
