two girls nailing together tool box made of wood

It sounded like Santa's workshop in the MED cafeteria on April 3! Representatives from Herrington’s and Questar III visited school to show our fourth graders how to use tools and a little elbow grease to turn wood and nails into their very own toolboxes. Herrington's provided the materials, tools, and expert staff to help the students assemble their kits, which they banged together in no time.

Questar III and Herrington's are both members of the Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Coalition, a non profit that seeks to raise awareness with students about rewarding careers in the building trades through STEM activities like this. Questar III's Business & Education Partnership Service has coordinated and facilitated several of these activities with elementary schools t the region. Thanks for coming to MED, you guys nailed it!
