Students in 5th grade science were challenged with making a water pump to transport 100 ml of water from one beaker to another. They are learning about criteria and constraints. Some constraints for this project were: only 5 tubes, 4 connects, 1 syringe, 1 3-way valve, and the beakers had to be 100 cm apart. They had a fun time learning why it's so important for water to move from one place to another!
