Registration for Chatham Central School District’s 2025-2026 universal prekindergarten program is open now through March 1, 2025. If you have a child who is eligible to attend pre-k this fall, please register your child online now or contact the District's registrar, Emily Ponce, at poncee@chatham.k12.ny.us or 518-392-1535. Ms. Ponce can answer any questions and can schedule a phone or in-person registration meeting.
Chatham’s pre-k is open to children who will turn four (but not five) years of age on or before December 1, 2025 and who are residents of the District. This is a free, full-day program with access to the school’s breakfast and lunch program. Transportation will be provided for children age four and older.
Please register by March 1. Spaces are limited and if demand exceeds the seats available the District will utilize a lottery system to determine who is accepted into the program. The District will notify parents/guardians if a lottery is needed in early March. Any registrants after March 1 will be accepted/waitlisted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pre-k screening will take place in June by appointment.
