Typing Now at MED

student typingWith computers playing an ever-increasing role in our daily lives, learning how to type has never been more useful, and it's never too early to get started. MED is currently rolling out a new typing program for students in grades k-5. With help from their teachers and our school librarian, Mr. Selby, students are learning proper typing technique using self-guided computer programs that are both age-appropriate and fun!

With typing, practice makes perfect and our students don’t need to be in class to hone their skills - they can access these programs from home as well as school.

On the MED homepage we have provided two versions: Mickey’s Typing Adventure for grades k-2, and Typing Instructor for grades 3-5. All students need to do is login with a username and password that their teacher or Mr. Selby gives to them.

The program began being rolled out in grades three and five, and will be integrated into our other grades as the 2016-17 school year progresses.
