Community Church Honors MED Faculty
Members of the Payne AME Church in Chatham made a visit to MED to pay a special honor to our school. At the after-school faculty meeting held December 14, Reverend Gloria Jimpson thanked our school for the valuable service we provide our community and handed each of our teachers a personalized certificate recognizing them for the outstanding work they do.
Great schools and great communities are a team effort, and this honor directly reflects the great work our entire faculty and support staff do to provide all our students with a first-class education here in Chatham.
Last June at our annual Arbor Day Celebration, MED honored Corrine Summers, who is an associate minister at Payne AME, as a person who has made a lasting positive impact on our school and community. Ms. Summers and several other members of the church were present at Wednesday’s faculty meeting to help return the favor. MED would like to thank the Payne AME Church membership for this unexpected and entirely appreciated honor!
