Reminder: There is an early dismissal today at 11:45 a.m. for CMS students.

Today, we are holding our 12th annual Battle of the Belts Competition here at Chatham Middle School.  Battle of the belts is a tradition that started at Sean’s Run.  Unfortunately statistics show that teens do not buckle up in the car and that car crashes are the number one cause of death for teens.  By hosting a preliminary battle of the belts competition here at Chatham Middle School, we are encouraging fellow students to make the right choice and put on a seat belt when they get into a car.  Our hope is that through this event we will raise awareness and encourage students to make positive decisions and be safe.

Today’s competition schedule is as follows: Grade 7 will compete period 1; grade 6-period 3; and grade 8-period 5The fastest team at each grade level will go on to compete at the World Championship Battle of the Belts, held during Sean’s Run on April 30th.Good luck to all teams today!

Congratulations to the boy's modified track team with a commanding 75-48 victory over Maple Hill.
