Chatham Fields Four Scholar Athlete Teams

Four varsity teams from Chatham High School qualified as Scholar Athlete Teams for the spring, 2017 season. The Panthers' softball, baseball, boys tennis, and girls track teams each made the grade and will receive a certificate from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recognizing their accomplishments. In order to qualify, a team must hold a collective grade point average (GPA) of 90 or better with at least 75 percent of the athletes on the roster. In addition, any varsity athlete who holds a personal GPA of 90 or higher is eligible to receive a scholar athlete pin from the NYSPHSAA. Including the boys track team, 36 panthers will receive pins this spring!

Congratulations to Chatham High School’s boys varsity tennis team, who are the 2017 Class C/D Boys Tennis Champions! The boys took down Lake George with a 5-2 victory during the Section 2 tennis finals held May 17th.

The team finishes the season with an overall record of 13-3. Great job Panthers!



Modified boys and girls track teamModified Track Teams are 2017 Conference Champs

Congratulations to Chatham Middle School's boys and girls modified track teams for winning the Modified Patroon Conference Championship meet at Maple Hill on May 15. Both teams gave it everything they had and ended the season with some of the best times that they have run all season. Congratulations to 8th grader Calliroe Barlow for winning all three events that she competed in and congratulations to 8th graders Kaleb Kastner and Will Marks for turning in their best performances of the year.

Congratulations to Chatham High School’s varsity softball team, who finished up their regular season undefeated and clinched the 2017 Patroon Conference Championship! The girls record stands at 14-0 in the league and 15-0 overall.

The girls hold the number 5 spot in the Class C state rankings as they head into sectional play. Go Panthers!

 

Evan Mickle and Baylee CoxPanthers Tapped for Exceptional Senior Game

Congratulations to Chatham High School varsity basketball players Evan Mickle and Baylee Cox, who were selected to play in our league's Exceptional Senior Basketball Game March 14th at Stillwater High School.

The girls game starts at 6:00 p.m. and the boys game starts at 7:30 p.m. These games showcase our region's top senior talent.

2016 Fall Season Fields Eight Scholar Athlete Teams

Congratulations to all our fall season all-stars:

Cross Country: Hallie Allen, Danielle Wallace, and Althea Brennan were named Patroon Conference First Team All-Stars, and Emma Gregg a Second Team All-Star.

Football: Chatham football players named Section 2 Class C South Division All-Stars:
1st Team: Noah Summers – Running back, Brandon Martino – Wide Receiver, Tristan Van Wie – Tackle, Tyriff Burch – Defensive Line, Hayden Spock – Linebacker
2nd Team: Mike Tran – Wide Receiver, Kaleb Taylor – Secondary, Kadeem Bishop – Secondary, KC Schermerhorn – Linebacker
Divisional Ironman: Noah Summers

Soccer: Caleb Doyle and Patrick Devine both received 1st Team All-Star honors, and Sam Kirschner received 2nd Team All-Star honors for the Patroon Conference 2016 boys soccer season.

Taylor Hanson and Shannon Van Tassel received 1st Team All-Star honors, and Jenna Rippel and Grace Doyle received 2nd Team All-Star honors for the Patroon Conference 2016 girls soccer season.

Tennis: Gaby Neven was named the Patroon Conference's Most Outstanding Player, while Geetika Verma and Aaliyah Harris were named to the All-Star Second Team.

Volleyball: Danni McKay received 1st Team All-Star honors and Haleigh McKay received 2nd Team All-Star honors for the Patroon Conference 2016 girls volleyball season.
